Flash and Drip Edge Metal Roofing

Metal roof flashing is used to keep water from entering the roof structure at any intersection or termination point. It normally takes the form of thin pieces of metal that are installed at particular points to seal them.

Flash and Drip Edge Metal Roofing

(Residential & Commercial)

Miami Metal Deck offers both exposed fastener metal roofing systems and concealed fastener standing seam metal roofing systems. These are excellent for residential metal roofing, commercial metal roofing, and post-frame metal roofing applications.

Flashing is most commonly used to seal off the roof around chimneys, valleys, skylights, vents, and eaves. However the eaves of many roofs may use drip edges – which are technically a type of metal roof flashing.

A drip edge is a metal sheet that is designed to redirect water away from the fascia and protect it from being damaged. It is installed below the shingles along the gutter so that the excess water is directed into the gutter.

Overall both metal roof flashing and drip edges are vital to ensure water doesn’t enter the roof structure itself, as well as keep the movement of air in check too

Miami Metal Deck is pleased to offer metal roofing materials and accessories manufactured by Union Corrugating a leading metal roofing manufacturer since 1946.

We offer the three primary types of standing seam metal roof systems; screw flange, snap lock, and mechanically seamed system. Each of these standing seam metal roofing system designs uses a slightly different method to secure the panel to the metal roof.
